Swiss ESN Newsletter - May 2010The new board is glade to present you the very first Newsletter after the NP in Winterthur. In this first newsletter we want to introduce ourselves and we also want to invite you, dear ESNers, to take actively part in the ESN life!

Presidents Meeting in Wädenswil

The next presidents meeting takes place in the beautiful town of Wädenswil from 30 April - 1 May 2010.

Every section is welcomed to take place and get the chance to meet each other and discuss about ongoing projects and challenges.

We will meet us at 18:10h at the train station Au (Wädenswil). The train (S8) leaves at 17.44 from Zurich.

Up to 3 people per section could be hosted. In case you didn't receive an invitation yet, please send an email to Stephanie Schwander (stsc0004 AT students.zhaw.ch) to subscribe.

Swiss National Platform 2010 - Winterthur

The Swiss National Platform took place between 5 and 7 March 2010 in Winterthur.

We were proud to welcome Veeli Oeselg, Vice-President of ESN International and Muriel Gampert from the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER) as special guests.

After a get-to-know evening on Friday the participants got informed about the newest projects within ESN as well as the latest news from Switzerland on Saturday. On Sunday the General Assembly took place (13 out of 14 Swiss Sections were present or in other words 21 out of 28 votes!).

Swiss Annual National Platform 2009

From the 27th February to the 1st March, the Swiss Annual National Platform was held in Bern. We had 10 out of 13 sections represented and a total number of participants of 57 including 6 Alumni. We had the honour to have the president of ESN International, Matthias Fenenr as our guest. The main point of the agenda, besides the usuals (express opinion on the board report, financial report and budget) were some statute changes (to have a transistion period from an old to a new board) and the election of a new board. The proposals of the board were all accepted with a very good result.

The election of the new board was also very successful. ESN Switzerland managed to find candidates for all positions, even the treasurer who was found in the very last minute...
