Swiss National Platform 2010 - Winterthur

The Swiss National Platform took place between 5 and 7 March 2010 in Winterthur.

We were proud to welcome Veeli Oeselg, Vice-President of ESN International and Muriel Gampert from the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER) as special guests.

After a get-to-know evening on Friday the participants got informed about the newest projects within ESN as well as the latest news from Switzerland on Saturday. On Sunday the General Assembly took place (13 out of 14 Swiss Sections were present or in other words 21 out of 28 votes!).

ESN Chur was accepted as the fourteenth Swiss ESN Section. ESN Switzerland congratulates and welcomes ESN Chur in the network. We wish ESN Chur all the best for their future plans!

After a stretching election the following members were elected into the Swiss National Board 2010/2011 (in charge after Galadinner at the AGM in Istanbul):

  • Irene Forzoni (from Italy) as President
    First term in the Swiss National Board. Next to the president’s duties she will also take care of the educational policy issues.

  • Christoph Lucas (from Germany) as Treasurer and Vice-President
    Second term in the Swiss National Board. He keeps its old duties as treasurer and will now also be Vice-President.

  • Fabian Bircher (from Switzerland) as NR
    Third term in the Swiss National Board. After two years being Webmaster (2008 - 2010) he starts his first term as National Representative.

  • Ivan Diaz (from Colombia) as Board Member and Vice-NR
    First term in the Swiss National Board. He is a new ESN member, motivated to work as webmaster and as Vice-NR to get to know ESN better.

  • Ben Hochreutener (from Switzerland) as Board Member
    First term in the Swiss National Board. He will be responsible for the sponsoring inside the National Board as well as for the section development department.

  • Remo Weber (from Switzerland) as Board Member
    Third term in the Swiss National Board.  After two years being treasurer (2007 - 2009) and one year being Extended Board Member (ESNbooklet 2010), he is going to be responsible for the communication, the materials and the Exchangability Project within Switzerland.

Sofia Müller-Fischler could be found as national coordinator for the SocialErasmus program.
